Profile earns its Health and Safety stripes

As reported in our website’s news pages last July, Profile Security Services Limited has been working towards OHSAS 18001: 2007. Following a successful period of assessment in December, Profile has now earned this valuable accreditation.

The Occupational Health and Safety Management System assessment looks at the measures an organisation puts in place, helping it to minimise risks around the workplace and take the right steps to monitor, plan and maintain those measures. The scope of Profile’s registration covers its office based activities at Head Office, as well as the systems for planning and allocating work.

This latest UKAS Management Systems accreditation now stands alongside Profile’s existing ISO 9001 and ISO14001 Quality Management credentials. Profile’s Compliance & Training Director, Mick Austen, is delighted: “OHSAS 18001 was developed in response to widespread demand for a recognised standard against which companies can be certified and assessed. It’s another benchmark against which our clients can measure how seriously we approach issues of health and safety. It also sends out a positive message to prospective clients and procurement professionals reviewing their security options.”
